Award winner!

ETSP is a WEA Regional Partner award winner! This is fantastic recognition of the hard work and dedication of our students and staff. Schools have provided exceptional learning spaces and encouraged parents, carers and grandparents of children in our schools to take their next steps, whether this has been attending Lloyd's employability workshops or one (or more) of a range of courses. We are committed to raising educational aspirations within our community and helping parents and carers take their employment and educational opportunities further. See below for current courses/workshops.

Many of the parents filmed and interviewed for WEA's 'Grow Together - Learn Together'campaign are from our partnership schools. Click here to view the film.

ETSP invited to the Houses of Parliament!

Lloyds Banking Group and WEA celebrated their ongoing successful partnership with a Parliamentary reception at the Houses of Parliament in October. Some ETSP students involved in the Lloyds/WEA employability scheme, and the ETSP, were invited to the reception to share their experiences. The event was attended by MPs, including Chi Onwurah MP, and senior members of Lloyds Banking Group and WEA. Also attending was Dave Brown, a WEA tutor, familiar to many of our students!

ETSP works with both organisations to deliver practical employability workshops to our parents and carers. The workshops help students prepare for interviews, write CVs and look at the skills needed for work. If you are interested in attending one of these workshops please speak to your school's Parent Support Adviser.

Author workshops

Local author, Alex Woolf, is visiting three of our schools this January to deliver creative writing workshops to our lucky Year 6s. Alex writes fiction and non-fiction for children aged 9 and upwards. Most of his fiction is set in the past or an imagined future as he is passionate about history and science! Edmonton Green Library is hosting creative writing workshops and talks for parents/carers on Saturday 27th January which will feature Alex Woolf as well as author Catherine Johnson and academic Katy Beavers. Tickets to the event can be booked here. These events have been funded by Arts Council England and Entwo for Enfield, a community news website promoting arts and culture and filling the gaps in local news.
