In partnership with the WEA (Workers' Educational Association) and with Barnet and Southgate College, we continue to offer taster sessions and workshops to parents, grandparents and other carers of children attending one of the ETSP’s network of schools.
In the academic year 2016-2017 we offered 3 WEA courses to 34 new students. Our working relationship with the WEA is ever-growing and in 2017-2018 we offered 13 WEA courses and 16 taster sessions to 169 new students.
Taster sessions: Helping in Schools, Lloyds Employability workshops, Mentoring and Counselling, Functional Skills in Maths and ESOL.
Courses: Level 1 Introduction to Helping in Schools, Level 1 Introduction to Counselling Skills & Theory, Going Online, Get Ready for ESOL (Entry 1), Computer Skills for Work, Level 2 Emotional Health Mentoring in Schools, Introduction to Adult Social Care and Drugs & Alcohol Misuse and Introduction to Mental Health Awareness.
Courses offered by Barnet and Southgate College include ESOL and Paediatric First Aid.
We are very proud of our parents and carers who have qualified/completed these courses. You are positive role models as you have shown a huge commitment to the course and displayed enthusiasm throughout. Thank you also to the tutors who have delivered these successful courses.
