Explore | How Science Works 2018

This summer we held our first STEM project which culminated in a Science Fair for Year 5 and Year 9 pupils at Chace Community School. The aim of this project was to promote positive attitudes towards the learning of science through lively, interactive and fun workshops and activity. Pupils from 14 schools worked on their own science projects which they exhibited within their individual schools. The winning projects from these exhibitions were showcased at a Science Fair at Chace Community in July. Science Fair activities included:

  • Pupils presenting their projects to our panel of expert judges.

  • Exploring the RS Components truck full of the latest technologies.

  • Participating in a range of exciting lab experiments delivered by Chace Community's science team.

  • Meeting our STEM Ambassadors and finding out what their job is.

  • Making a torch with the Institution of Engineering and Technology.

We could not have delivered such a successful project without the support of the following organisations. We offer a huge thank you to:

Our sponsors - The Royal Society of Chemistry and Metaswitch.

Our supportersRS ComponentsSTEM Learning, The Big Bang London, the Institution of Engineering and Technology, the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and a wealth of STEM judges from a range of organisations including Warburtons and NPS.
