Poetry Festival 2016
In partnership with The Poetry Society, a series of poetry workshops were delivered by three London poets to pupils in Years 3 or 4. The children interpreted their ideas of the 'British Values' theme and composed their own poems to read aloud and perform to partnership schools towards the end of the summer term.
A final inter-school performance to an invited audience was held at the beginning of July. Guests included the Rt. Hon Joan MP and the Deputy Mayor of Enfield, Cllr. Christine Hamilton, both of whom were enthusiastic supporters on the night. The event was a great success and inspired pupils and staff alike. The pupils' work was published in a book called 'We are all dreams catching dreams' and sold at Waterstones, Enfield Town. It was their number one best seller for three weeks in a row!
